You should take the Praxis II test as soon as you feel your subject-area knowledge has prepared you to succeed. We encourage students to take the test(s) prior to student teaching, but it is not a requirement for the IEE Certification Program; however, you cannot complete State certification unless you pass the appropriate Praxis II test(s).
